Overview

Protecting property from flooding starts with understanding where stormwater goes and where it collects. As part of the Cub River Irrigation Company’s larger PL 83-566 environmental review, Franson Civil modeled storm events to identify areas prone to flooding and evaluate its potential depth and extent. We then sized and modeled storm drain improvements to move water through those areas, reduce ponding, and limit the potential for property damage.

Final design and construction depend on completion of the environmental review and the required NRCS decision. As national NRCS requirements have changed, we have stayed in close contact with NRCS Idaho and Cub River Irrigation Company to work through those changes and keep the project moving. That continued coordination helps the Company understand what is needed next and prepare for the work ahead.
