Company History
Franson Civil Engineers is a Utah corporation with offices located in American Fork, Utah. Founded in 1989, we are celebrating 20 years of providing excellent engineering services to our clients.
Our highly qualified staff includes experts with extensive experience in planning, design, environmental review, construction observation, and operation and maintenance of water-related projects.
The firm currently has 25 employees, including 14 engineers and 11 technical and support staff. Eleven of these engineers are licensed professional engineers. Many of our staff members have spent their entire careers working in the field of water resources; therefore, their combined experience provides a strong foundation along with the knowledge and expertise needed for the successful completion of your project.
After 13 years with the Bureau of Reclamation, and then another 3 years in the private industry, Jay Franson began the firm with the values that still exist today. His leadership of Franson Civil Engineers has not faltered while providing quality water resources engineering services in the West for two decades.
The firm’s focus on several significant work orders has received high marks for professionalism and customer service.
For example, with our award-winning Piute Dam Rehabilitation Project that won the Association of State Dam Safety Officials 2005 Dam Rehabilitation Project of the Year Award, our innovative and creative engineering solutions met the project’s critical timeframe and yielded substantial savings for the client.
Franson Civil Engineers has been a successful Small Business Enterprise, water resources engineering Indefinite Deliverty/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contractor, for the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation – Mid Pacific Region since 2001. The selection provides Reclamation offices access to Franson Civil’s expertise and skills without an extended procurement process. The selection is currently valid until 2011.
